I am Chaitali . when i checked my bank transactions i found that there is one debit transaction Sep-30 ---- INR 561.80'. When i called to customer care they said that the money has deducted because of demat account, i never filled any form to activate the demat account. Kindaly refund i money. I did not get any message alert also in my mobile which is registered with mobile banking . This is a completely not acceptable and i want my money back.

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist the Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any query / complaint / grievance in respect of financial services.  This site does not belong to any Bank or Regulator, which may please be noted.

The possibility could be, assuming that you have a salary account with the bank, the sourcing staff might have also got a Demat application signed by you and opened an account.  If you have not made any transactions in your Demat account, you have a right to seek refund of the maintenance charges debited. Please submit a written request to your base branch asking for [a] reversal of the charges debited in your savings account and [b] immediate closure of the Demat account, which you never wanted / opened knowingly.  In the absence of any proper response from the branch, you may take it up with their management and further with Banking Ombudsman.

The details regarding the grievance redressal cell of the the Bank would be available on their website and that of BO on 'www.rbi.org.in'.
