Find the thief, using the camera you have at ATM’s and do whatever is required legally. Look into inefficiency of bank so that all my other accounts are safe in future, as I have safety concerns and is seriously looking to see how bank handle this situation. we were surprised to see the security system of Bank ATM locations. In our understanding and by LAW it is mandatory to have live guard at all ATM machines. How come bank site ATM location can allow the man with mouth covered with big scarf and dark glasses to steal the money from someone’s account. On top the Relationship Manager are lethargic to take a quick action even after informing to stop the transaction and find out about the same? Very disappointed that after a long wait of two months Bank is not taking any responsibility to take an appropriate action? During the detailed discussion, senior management( Zonal Head, and Cluster Head  assured us to investigate this matter in depth while acknowledging the laps in bank system and agreed to take care of the missing amount and confirmed to return the money by accepting the negligence of the bank employes. But so far we have not received the fund back even after confirming that bank has agreed to return the amount. Fraudulent ATM transaction totaling Rs 100, 000, 00 due to negligence of bank to block the ATM card took place on July 25th 2015 at 9.30 am

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank nor a regulator, which may please be noted.

As regards fraudulent withdrawal of sum amounting to Rs 100,000/- from your account through ATM. I presume that either you had enhanced ATM withdrawal limit or withdrawal has happened before and after the cut off time for date change. Posting of guards at ATMs or catching the fraudster or setting the cameras in ATMs is the look out of the Bank. If the Bank has acknowledged the lapse on their or their employees part and there is an inordinate delay in refund of amount fraudulently withdrawn, you may approach Banking Ombudsman with all the relevant documents. You can pursue the case yourself in the Ombudsman office and resolution will be faster. You may claim interest for the period you remained out of funds.
