Credit card issue?

Dear Sir/Madam, Greetings of the day!! This has reference to one of the call which I am getting from  bank credit card department. They claim that there is outstanding payment for the card which they issued in my name. I have been telling them that I have not received any credit card from  They further claim that I have applied and card was issued in the name of Lokesh L. Whereas all my records are Lokesh K. I even have checked in CIBIL record recently (6 months back when I applied for  there is no record of my outstanding for any credit cards. Hence, I humbly request you to kindly let me know how to handle this and close the issue. Thanks in advance. Lokesh K

Greetings for the day,

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank nor a regulator, which may please be noted.

If you have not applied for the credit card and the payment is being demanded, you ask the Bank to furnish a copy of the credit card application form duly signed by you. If the Bank does not provide you with the copy, you escalate the matter to the nodal officer - grievances whose coordinates would be available on the Bank's website. After waiting for a reasonable period, you may approach Banking ombudsman/consumer forum for resolution of the issue. The overdue outstanding gets reported by the Bank to the CIBIL.
