Unfamiliar charge on credit card statement, Account closure, unethical behaviour by representative?

Dear Sir/ Madam, I'm very disappointed with your bank services. I tried to express my concern since Mar'15 to till last month through mails so many times, but not get the proper information. I requested so many times to close my account through mail as I'm out of country & not using the card also. bank have already deactivated my card long back (Mar'15). Every month they are charging unnecessary to me. They are charged huge amount every month since last six months & before that. I told him earlier that I couldn't pay this type of charges & close my account at the earliest. Then after also they didn't taken any resolution.Now the final charges is INR 15, 325. I can't pay this amount. Finally I contacted one representative Mr. Ashoo Arora as referred by bank Senior Management's mail after tried so many times, but he told that now he is not dealing my card account, another person is handling my account. Also he told that he can't help anything regarding my card account & not able to resolve the issue. I wrote a mail on July 17, 2015 that "I will not write any mail after this mail on ongoing issue. If this time you are not able to resolve my issue & close my account, I'll complain at consumer court against due to non-resolving my issue since last six months." Then after also no resolution done by them. It is my humble request you take it on top priority & resolve the issue at the earliest. Regards, Umakanta Mohapatro

Umakanta,

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank nor a regulator, which may please be noted.

As regards charges levied on credit card although you had applied for closure, you may escalate the issue to nodal officer - grievances whose coordinates would be available on the Bank's website. If the matter is not resolved by nodal officer, you may approach Banking Ombudsman/Consumer Forum for resolution.

I would advise you take up the matter with Senior Officials of the Bank to resolve the issue otherwise there is a possibility of your CIBIL score getting affected, if the matter is reported to CIBIL by the Bank.
