I am a  customer since last 4 years. But now I am suffering & regretting my decision to have a credit card.I always paid my due on time but this time somehow I miscalculate my balance and paid only 50 rs less. I need to pay 67, 384 but paid 67, 330 only and as a result bank imposed me 2000 rs fine. This happened second time but this time I decided to fight for this injustice and will go to consumer court if required. On the top of that your customer support is rude Abhishek

Mr Abhishek,

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any query / complaint / grievance in respect of financial services.  This site does not belong to any Bank or a Regulator, which may please be noted.

As regards overcharging your credit card account, you may speak to Customer Care for resolution of the issue, stating that an amount of Rs 2000/- can not be charged for an outstanding of Rs 50/-. You may also explain the past history of regular payment. In case charges are not reversed, you may escalate the issue to the nodal officer - grievances whose coordinates (contact) would be available on the Bank's website. As a last resort, you may approach Banking Ombudsman/Consumer Forum for resolution of the issue.
