Hi, This is Rajat My account is debited with amount of 617. 85 and showing the transaction summary as DP CHGS TILL I have never activated and used any Demat account till now. There was no prior notice. I haven't received any deduction message to my mobile. Transaction detail has been attached herewith for reference Requested for my money refund and credit back as early as possible. Thanks, Kazi Rajat

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any query / complaint / grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a Regulator, which may please be noted.

As regards recovery of DP charges, I would like to inform you that annual maintenance charges are levied even if you have not activated your Demat account. These charges are conveyed and some Banks get the charges sheet signed as well, while opening the Demat account. If you have opened a Demat account in the past then Bank will levy maintenance charges on annual basis. If you are not having any Demat account, you may ask Bank to refund the charges levied.
