Sir I opened a bank account in bank nearly before 1 month but this bank's bank maneger is not giving my passbook and said that here bank have many problems not only your problem is hear and atlast i came back to home. Sir i want my passbook but this matter is not solving please help me sir  bank Nawanagar buxer bihar

Dear Deepak

Of late, many of the banks have dispenses the issuance of passbooks, since they are providing monthly/quarterly physical statements and eStatements.  However, if for any specific reason you need a passbook, Bank is under obligation to issue the same.  Please follow the process mentioned here under to take it up with the bank and their senior management.

1.    Go to your Bank’s website and search for grievance redressal (or similar name) button and submit your complaint online.

2.    If you do not receive any reply / satisfactory reply within 10 days, lodge your complaint with the Nodal officer of the Bank (either through email or letter)

3.    If you do not receive any reply / satisfactory reply within 10 days from the Nodal officer, lodge your complaint with the Principal Nodal officer of the Bank (either through email or letter)

4.     If you are still not satisfied with the reply / do not receive reply from the Principal Nodal officer within 10 days, lodge your complaint with the Banking Ombudsman (either through letter or email)
