I want to change my contact no. So ireqst to my home branch.. bt they are not responding me.. even 45times i try to caled them..they not attend my cal. If attend not reapndng & use unless words also.. continuesy i was try 45times call they nt rresponce i never seen this kind of person... plz do any k8nd action to that chennai chepauk branch manager... so hurtting abt they r words... so finally i want deactivate my a.c... plz give me the procedure of deactivataion of my a.c.Bcoz that 1 also they r responsed me... plz do the needfull...kindly...

Mr Vinit,

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any query / complaint / grievance in respect of financial services.  This site does not belong to any Bank or a Regulator, which may please be noted.

As regards change of address in Bank account, you need to furnish new address proof along with a request either on plain paper or in the prescribed form, if any. Please take the acknowledgement of the request submitted. If branch officials are not responding, you may escalate the issue to nodal officer - grievances whose coordinates (contact) would be available on the Bank's website. If you do not get satisfactory response from nodal officer within a reasonable period, you may approach Banking Ombudsman for resolution.

If you intend to close your account, please write a closure request either on plain paper or prescribed format of the Bank and submit it along with defaced ATM/Debit Card and unused cheque leaves, if any. Please submit these documents against acknowledgement so as to serve as a proof in future.
