Unfair deduction of balance?

Hello Everyone, I am having savings bank account in ahmedabad branch from last 3 and a half years and my account no. is xxxxxxxxxx5576. Contact No:- xxxxxx9818 On 8/11/2015 when i was about to pay for a mobile recharge my transaction failed because a whooping sum of Rs.513 was deducted from my account by bank on 31/10/2015 in the name of SMAB CHGS. Till date I don't have any mail informing about this MAB charges. I have no information from bank Now that I understand that bank has not informed me about change of balance system, hence any deduction from account for the same is totally wrong and if charges deducted are not credited back to my account then I will be left with no other option but to take this matter to higher authorities and Banking Ombudsman as this is CLEAR VIOLATION of Rule 8(1)(k) i.e. "levying of charges without adequate prior notice to the customer" of The Banking Ombudsman Scheme 2006. I hereby request for a full scale money back. Thanks

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any query / complaint / grievance in respect of financial services.  This site does not belong to any Bank or a Regulator, which may please be noted.

If you were not told / informed about the MAB requirement, but charges have been levied, you should take it up with the Bank's management / Banking Ombudsman, whose process you seem to be very well aware of.  Please go ahead with the process of complaint, seeking reversal of the charges.
