Bank promotion on EMI Bazaar?

Hello Sir/ Madam, I am having an account/ Credit card in Bank. When I was receiving my credit card statement, there was pamphlet where the bank is promoting the EMI Bazaar.com Based on the promotion, I have placed an order in emibazaar.com 24th October 2015 and made the payment with mycredit card. I haven't received my consignment yet. I tried calling the toll free number mentioned in the pamphlet. But I am unable to reach out. I sent out several but not even received single response from them. I request the  bank not to tided up with such a fraud company and not promote the emi bazaar.com. As I have trust on Bank I completely consider their promotion. I personally request  to take strong action against emi bazaar.com to get the consignment. Other wise one fine day Bank will lose the customer faith. Regards, Govindhan

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

If, you indeed had received the emibazaar.com pamphlet along with your credit card statement you cannot be faulted for  believing that it was being promoted by your bank. In this regard, it would be appropriate for you to write to Nodal Officer of your bank through email or letter explaining your view point and seeking his intervention to resolve your complaint. You can find out the details of the Nodal Officer from the bank’s website. Your next course of action can be determined  based on the type of response you may receive from the Nodal Officer.

If you do not get satisfactory response and if the Nodal Officer disowns any tie up/arrangement by the bank with EMIBAZAAR.com, you can question the reason for sending such promotional material with credit card statement. The matter then will be fit to be raised with the  Banking Ombudsman for chastening the bank. For address of the Office of the Banking Ombudsman, Area of Operation (jurisdiction) and the procedure for lodging complaint, you may access the website https://bankingombudsman.rbi.org.in/
