Bank - Wrong msg?

Sir, on my mobile I am getting msgs from bank that in my account No 1138XXXXXX6559 Rs 30, 000/- has been credited by transfer and in another msg my account No 1138XXXXXX6259 has been debited Rs 30, 000/- whereas neither my wife or any member of my house has any account in your Bank. I am also receiving msgs for opening of account as well. I have made a complaint of the same on  Bank customer care on 27 Nov 2015 at 11.44 AM through my mobile  The issue has not been resolved. Kindly stop the msgs immediately as the same is causing mental disturbance to me.

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

It appears that your mobile number and the mobile number registered for SMS alerts in the account mentioned your complaint is one and the same. This could be on account of allotment of  the SIM which had been surrendered by the account holder of particular bank which he failed to get in changed at account level through his bank.This also could be a case of wrong punching of your mobile number at the account holder's bank end.

To get out of this nuisance, you must write to the bank from which you are receiving the SMS alerts. You must state that you are not a customer of the bank but you receive SMS alerts on your mobile. It is better to write this to the Nodal Officer of the bank concerned through email or letter, for a quick resolution. You can find out the details of the Nodal Officer from the bank’s website.
