Regarding Bank Account?

  I have an ac.  I had gave a ac. Closer request at bank around 10 months ago. But ac is active that would I knew then by mistake someone transfer the amount in my above ac no. And  bank deducted 4700 rs as non maintaince charges. Where is not my fault. They were mentality harrasing me. Please refund my hard earn money

Dear Anshul,

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

I fail to understand what made you wait for 10 months after submission of your request for closure of your account. Your statement what if someone transfer money to your account by mistake is irrelevant. Your bank has no right to recover non maintenance charges if they failed to act on your request for closure of account submitted long back. I urge you to write to Nodal Officer of your bank through email or letter,  enclosing a copy of your account closure request submitted in support of your claim of the bank being on the wrong. You can find contact details of Nodal Officer from the bank's website. 

If you don't get proper response you may escalate the matter to the Banking Ombudsman for resolution. For address of the Office of the Banking Ombudsman, Area of Operation (jurisdiction) and the procedure for lodging complaint, you may access the website https://bankingombudsman.rbi.org.in/
