Change of address - bank's staff not accepting my documets?

Recently i have changed my residence, shifted to nearby block. I went to bank pitampura branch with Registered rent agreement (registered by magistrate in court) and MTNL bill copy to update my new address in my salary account . Branch staffs refused to change on these these documents but they gave a solution to open a new Linked account in Pitampura Branch and i had no option so i did it. My question is, when you can not change the existing account's address on behalf of MTNL bill or Rent Agreement, then how you can open a new account on these documents ?????? ---- Rajnish

I absolutely concur with your statement.  Probably the bank/branch must be under pressure to have more / new accounts.  Since you have already opened a new account with them, now the question becomes irrelevant.  Do avail the benefits of the new account.
