Hi Subhanandani,

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

The card issued to you in September 2004 is highly unlikely to be valid after 10 years. And if the card was still valid and your bank has blocked the same there has to be a reason. And you certainly has the right to be informed the reason. You may contact the bank's call centre to ascertain the reason and get the card unblocked complying with the bank's requirements if any in this regard. There should not be any hassles.
