My self nidhi tripathi having a account in allahabad atm whih or withdrawing amount 4000 i got a slip in which mention transaction declined response code 072 unable to process but amount is debeted from my account at dated 23/12/2015 time 12:17:22

Hi Nidhi,

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted. 

If the transaction was declined due to technical glitches the debit transaction would have been automatically reversed. If not, the bank could have re-credited the amount subsequently. Please check your account and satisfy yourself before raising complaint in the matter. 

In case the amount has not been reversed to your account and indeed you have not received the amount from the ATM, lodge a complaint at home branch in writing enclosing the transaction slip as supporting evidence. If the branch fails to respond to your satisfaction, you should write to the Nodal Officer of the bank for resolution. Contact details of Nodal Officer can be found on the bank's website.

If the bank fails to respond  or the response is not satisfactory, you may approach the Banking Ombudsman for resolution of your grievance.For address of the Office of the Banking Ombudsman, Area of Operation of the BO (jurisdiction) and the procedure for lodging complaint you may visit https://bankingombudsman.rbi.org.in
