COLLECT Transaction Failure But Amt deducted?

Hello Sir, My name is Mukesh Gupta. I paid an amount of 40261 using sbi collect MOPS service but at last page after I entered OTP it shows transaction failure but the I received a SMS Now I don't know what to do as I have to submit my semester fee. PLEASE CREDIT MY MONEY INTO MY ACCOUNT ASAP. Thank you Regard, Mukesh Gupta

Dear Mukesh,

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

If your account had been debited, the amount would have been credited to the beneficiary account. If there was indeed a failure, the amount debited would have been automatically reversed to your account.  The reason for ambiguity could have been due to connectivity problem during the course of the transaction. There is no need for panic. Please check the factual position and thereafter,  if need arises approach your bank  for rectification. I don't think you will face any hurdles.
