Atm displayed 'balance insufficient' but amount debited from account & not refunded?

We tried to draw Rs.4000 using-ATM Card Rathinapuri.The ATM showed 'Insufficient Balance' but Rs.4025/- was debited from Ac
I raised this concern with Rathinapuri Branch and they said it will take 30 days for  Bank to refund.
 

Since I am running out of money, I have approached  Bank Ganapathy Branch.They said that the failed transactions will be credited to the account on the same day.Please help to get my money.

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

Your branch is simply lying.  If it is a genuinely failed transaction, the amount should get reversed within a day, as rightly stated by Ganapathy branch.  Please handover a written complaint to your home branch informing them about the facts and seek immediate reversal of the failed transaction.  If you are not getting any positive response, may take it up further with the Bank's management.

In case you do not get desired response, please do not hesitate to write to BO. For address of the Office of the Banking Ombudsman, Area of Operation (jurisdiction) and the procedure for lodging complaint, you may access the website https://bankingombudsman.rbi.org.in/.
