Debit transaction not received by income tax department?

A debit transaction for rs 41161.00 was made on 02/01/2016 vide bil/000892280850/dtax/639034002011650 from bank savings account of sakil as income tax payment for tan number 'calu02349e'. But till date i.E. 04/01/2016 6.30pm while going through the oltas application in tan based search for the challan for the aforesaid payment the result shows 'record not found'. Please help!

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

I presume that you have made the payment online. There are certain back end processes involved in accounting for the transactions. You will be able to see accounting of the transaction within 3 to 4 working days in case of online payment and if one makes payment through branch network it takes 7-10 days for it to reflect in your account.

In the above situation, it is premature to be anxious about the fate of the payment you have made. Relax.
