Money debited from ATM?

I visited bank in bangalore HSR Layout for withdrawing money, due to some technical reasons my money has been debited but i didnt got money and got a message saying transaction got failed. Amount debited was 10K.North Boag road branch, chennai Please consider this as high priority and resolve it ASAP Regards James

Dear James,

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

Please check your  account and confirm that  the debit transaction in respect of which you have received message of it being a 'failed transaction'  has not been reversed so far. Thereafter, you should lodge a written complaint at your home branch stating the facts and demanding restoration of the funds in your account. 

The bank would surely look into the matter and take corrective action. In case the amount is not reversed then you must  escalate the matter to Nodal Officer of the bank through email or letter narrating the facts. Contact details of Nodal Officer can be found on the bank's website. 

If your grievance is not resolved you can take up with the Banking Ombudsman. For address of the Office of the Banking Ombudsman, Area of Operation (jurisdiction) and the procedure for lodging complaint, you may access the website https://bankingombudsman.rbi.org.in/
