Corporate account changed to savings account without prior notice and charges levied for non maintainance?

I had initiated account closure with Bank back in the year 2014 as I had moved out of Kolkata where my account was opened through wipro bpo. However, Bank is now harassing me with negative charges stating they never received a request for account closure. It's been too long and I do not have an acknowledgement as well. Even after escalating this internally with bank they have not received this and have been charging me for non maintainance of account balance

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

Since you no more require the account, request the bank to reverse the charges and close the account.  You should be giving them a written letter regarding the same.  The bank should consider and close the account, since it is no more remunerative for them to have your account.
