Debited my amount twice?

I was transferring money through Bank app and due to it's technical glitch, my amount was debited twice. The customer care is not responding properly to transfer my money back. Every time I call, they make me waste about half an hour and cut the call from their end without any confirmation. Ridiculous bank and their services. Now, I'm worried about my 24, 500 which is lost from my account.

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed and managed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

It is advisable to give a written complaint to your home branch seeking reversal / refund of the additional debit.  However, if the transaction was successfully made by you and the beneficiary is in receipt of both the credits, then you should be writing to the beneficiary to return the additional payment.  The bank would not be responsible, if you transferred the amount twice.  The bank would revert to you on the stated technical glitch, if it was true.  Do get the facts / status clarified and proceed accordingly.  If you feel that the bank was at fault, do complain to their Nodal Officer.  You can find contact details of Nodal Officer on your bank's website. In case you do not get desired response, please do not hesitate to write to BO. For address of the Office of the Banking Ombudsman, Area of Operation (jurisdiction) and the procedure for lodging complaint, you may access the website https://bankingombudsman.rbi.org.in/.
