Fraud Money Withdrawal from Account?

I got a call on 09-feb-2015 from a person saying that he was Satish Verma, mob no: XXXXXX5700 from bank customer service and this call is regarding renewal of my ATM card. He asked for card number and cvv number. After some time i got a message that 5000 has been deducted fro my account. On investigating i found that transaction was made on i then got my card blocked and since then my net banking is also not working. Can you please help me with my problem.

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

You  cannot claim any relief since the loss suffered by you is attributable to compromising of confidential information to an unknown caller. It is pertinent to mention that banks regularly advise customers not to share confidential personal information with anyone as banks never call for such information on phone or email or any other mode.  Such type of frauds are frequently highlighted in print and electronic media and customers cannot claim ignorance about these.

Please lodge a police complaint stating the facts.
