Hi Akansha,

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

As regards the refund your complaint, the payment made by you being online and the same passing through multiple authentications at your end, it is outside the scope of the  bank to intervene. The refund has to be claimed from the beneficiary citing inadvertent double payment for the merchandise. Any good merchant would refund the excess amount after being satisfied about your claim.

In case the merchant fails to refund, you can bring the details to notice of your bank and seek their help. But the bank will be under no obligation to help you.

Regards
