I have taken your bank card for 4 years, they never levied annual fee, this year they suddenly put annual fee 500+ taxes and when i requested for close the card and i will pay the bill. They told we have offer to waiver by providing points and now they taken payment and once payment is made they tell we don't have the option to do it. Whenever i call customer care they have different stories. I have attachment email proof from them that will provide the points.

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

Since you have documentary evidence to support your claim of the offer for waiver of charges, I suggest you to write to Nodal Officer of the bank. Please enclose supporting documents to enable the NO to get you suitable resolution. In case on no response or the response of NO not being satisfactory, you can take up with the Banking Ombudsman, narrating the entire sequence of events. The BO will decide the case on merits.

Contact details of Nodal Officer can be found on the bank's website. For address of the Office of the Banking Ombudsman, Area of Operation (jurisdiction) and the procedure for lodging complaint, you may access the website https://bankingombudsman.rbi.org.in/
