Deduction in my account without my knowledge?

Dear Sir/Madam, A/c no :-XXXXXXXXXX5655Branch :- Kandivali West Complain raised on :- 4 feb 2016 Complain no :- XXXXXX9341 The above account no was my salary account my without my information the amount of Rs 1771/-was deducted from my account for not maintaining balance... Due to my road accident i had to leave the job and that was the only reason i was unable to maintain it ... it almost 20 days after raising the issue at cust care and done mail on reach us ... the way the bank is solving my case... i dont think so they are little bit also serious in my case.

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed and managed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

It is a general practice of banks to treat a salary account as normal and levy relevant charges for non maintenance of minimum monthly average balance, if salary credits do not take place continuously for 3 months.  When you left the job, should have informed the bank accordingly and got the account closed or  continued with required balances, since the salary account features were provided by them on the strength of the relationship of your earlier employer.

However, you may approach the bank with a request for waiver of the charges and reversal, in view of your accident.  Speak to the salary relationship officer / branch manager for the same.  However, it is Bank's prerogative to take call regarding the refund.
