Use of rascals for charging of fake amount of rs. 16179.16 of credit card by your bank?

Bank added the fake amount of Rs. 2650.55 in bill dated 4/11/2014. I requested to lodge the FIR so that the police will solve the fraud. I humbly request you to direct to inquire the forgery happened on its part or to proceed further on its legal notice and stop harassing me through hired rascals.

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed and managed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

In the absence of full details, I assume that sometime during 2014, the credit card bill payment must have been delayed by you, due to which, most probably the bank must have levied late fee, charged interest plus service tax etc, which might have added up to the figure of Rs.2650.55, which you are assuming to be a fake / fraud billing by the bank.  And as is the practice in the industry, the bank must have given the recovery to an outside agency, who must be getting in touch with you frequently for payment, besides serving a legal notice.  If you claim the amount to be fake, you can very well seek clarification / proof from the bank regarding the amount, rather than just disputing the same all the time.  Hence, instead of assuming it to be fake, do get in touch with the credit card officials of the bank, check the correctness of the amount in contention and based on the outcome, you should take it up further.  You may also explore the possibility of getting the waiver of the disputed amount with the bank.
