Tata card cancellation...?

Hi, This card is very worst and cheating the customer..I just want to cancel TATA Credit card. These guys are never care about customers. They charged me FIN charges though I had refund before due date. My refund was around 25 k and I didn't want to pay 25 K and get refund to my account from merchant.I have tried to call the customer care no and its IVR which never directs me to customer care rep (there is no option for reaching cust. care rep). So I mailed customer care and received pre-text reply saying the bill was not paid before due date. I replied to that mail explaining my issue and never got a response. Then I escalated to Level-1  No response from them. Now, I have escalated to Level-2 I hope they respond to this level-2 escalation. All I need now is, I want to cancel this TATA credit card and get a peace of mind. But I have explored few options which I do not expect them work correctly. All the customer care nos are not proper which will allow me to talk to somebody in customer care.

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed and managed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

I suggest that instead of trying to reach leve-1, 2, 3 etc, it would be better to walk into the branch office once and handover a written request, asking for cancellation of the credit card, that too under proper acknowledgement.  This would certainly ensure cancellation of the card and peace of mind to you.  Customer Care communications would definitely work, but they have certain timelines, which are generally overshot.  Hence the advise to walk in.
