Hi Anshu,

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

I understand your anguish in the matter. However, you have to understand that benefits like zero balance account cannot come without  'conditions apply'. Once your salary credit stops or you have left the particular employment or you have changed your contact number/address registered with the bank, it is incumbent on you to inform the bank. It appears that you did not notify the bank after you have changed your job. It also appears that you did not take the pain to go through the terms and conditions applicable for your account.

If you wish to operate the account you may approach the bank seeking waiver of the charges levied on your account. Considering such a request or otherwise will be entirely at the discretion of the bank and you cannot claim it as a matter of right.

Regards
