Dear Sir/ma'am, My last transaction was on 19/03/2014. According to terms and conditions service charge and fee 2011 which was given on leaflet that Average Quarterly Average Balance
Requirement for 1. Metro and urban centres- Rs 5000 2. Semi urban centres- Rs 2500 3. Rural centres Rs 1000 According to best of my knowledge that my bank is semi urban centre. In June 2014, I came in knowledge by passbook entry that my A/c have (zero) balance even in negative. So I wrote letter to Bank Manager in reference to "why my a/c has been 0 balance". Also that letter was recieved by him. But his reply didn't satisfy me. After that I had written many letters to him to provide me details of same. But he told me that charges (which were deducting) are consolidate charges because balance in account is lesser than min. Quarterly Avg. Balance Requirement. But I had opened a/c with Rs 3000 and added Rs 2000 more there after. It is written in leaflet of CODE OF BANK'S COMMITMENT TO CUSTOMER that If bank changes its terms and conditions then it will notify by SMS or by letter. But unfortunately they didn't send me. At that time I was feeling CHEATED. My a/c was opened under guardianship of my father because I was under age of 18. And it was opened on 24/12/2011. Also I had wrote to your BANK several times but their reply didn't satisfy me. Please let me know what should I do to get back my money. I'll be highly obliged.
Thanking you

Dear Prakhar

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed and managed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

If the reply of the branch manager is not to your satisfaction, you may escalate your grievance to the Nodal Officer of the bank, whose details would be available on their website.  The Nodal Officer would respond to you with clarification.  If you are still not happy with the Nodal Officer's response, may explore the possibility of complaining to the Banking Ombudsman, but only if you are sure regarding the contention of your town being a metro / urban / semi urban / rural center, plus the bank might have also increased the minimum average balance post 2011, communication of which, you may not be aware of.
