My saving Bank A/c with your bank , Industrial Area Jagdishpur, Amethi has been repeatedly debited with Rs.5039.81 four times. Three times on 20-03-2016 at 11:30pm (night) and once on 21-03-2016 at 08:59 am (morning). This came to our knowledge through 4 sms received on my mobile . fifth sms on 21-03-2016 at 9:01 am was about transaction declined due to insufficient balance.  My ATM card was with me and I've never shared any information related to my ATM card with any one. No OTP also received on my mobile.

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

It appears that you have become a victim of Skimming Fraud. It is probable that your card data got compromised without your being aware of it. This is subject to your ruling out sharing of all card information including CVV during an online purchase of a merchandise.

I suggest you to lodge a police complaint in the matter and thereafter lodge complaint with your bank regarding the  unauthorised withdrawal of funds from your account. A copy of the police complaint should also be given to the bank. The bank will carry out an investigation and decide the next course of action. In case your bank does not respond to your complaint or refuses to restore  the amount to your account within 30 days of your complaint, you can escalate your grievance to the Banking Ombudsman narrating the sequence of events. While writing to the BO, please provide complete details and also enclose the communications exchanged with the bank including copy of the FIR
