Fraud credit card call?

I received a call which said it's from bank credit card department and fraudulently taking my card credentials i.E.Otp and cvv number they made a transaction of rs 7888.00 agains salemall_epaykerala.The other mobile number which was used to send messages . Can you please cancel the transaction as it is a fraudulent one and i haven't made any transaction today through my credit card and revert the amount to my credit card you can contact me Complaint com ments read comments [8] complaint category credit cards

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed and managed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

Admittedly, you have compromised on your confidential and personal credentials and got defrauded.  The bank would not be able to help you, since the fraudulent transaction was carried out with your security details.  Nevertheless, you should file a complaint with the bank and simultaneously an FIR with police, since it was a fraud.  You need to await the investigations by both the police and bank.  The banks extensively propagate that at no point in time, a credit card holder should disclose his security details, viz, card number, expiry date, CVV, PIN if any etc.
