9365 dp chgs till mar-16?

I have a salary account in your bank for 4 years now. When i checked my bank transactions and i found that there is one debit transaction '9365 dp chgs till mar-16 — inr 418.16... I did not get any message alert in my mobile which is registered with mobile banking with your bank.  My account number is 1503026. This is completely unacceptable and please refund my amount.

Dear Sunil,

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

I am afraid, I don't understand what your grievance is!. You have a demat account with the bank. You must have signed documents connected with the demat account, with due understanding of the rules, service charges, account maintenance charges, transaction charges  etc. You are expected to maintain balance in your account for periodical recovery of the bank's legitimate dues. The debit obviously is on account of the above and apparently in order.

Sending an SMS alert for each and every transaction in your account is not obligatory. It is an enabling action and not a matter of right unless the Bank as part of the documentation agreed to send SMS pre and post debit towards Demat charges.

There is no case or justification for seeking refund. If you are still not convinced, you may meet the concerned officials at your branch for clarification.
