Question

Hello, My ICICI Saving account has been put on lien due to incorrect fund transfer. I received 1,25,000 rupees on my account which I was expecting from one of my friend. But it turns out that this was transferred incorrectly to my account by someone unknown to me. I paid my hand loans as soon as I got the money. Now my account has been put on lien and the bank claims that I have to clear the amount immediately (I asked for 2 weeks time to deposit the money) or interest charges will be levied. I wanted to understand how can a incorrect transfer go through and how can the bank freeze my account without any communication. The bank claims that lien has been applied by RBI. I would be grateful if somebody could answer these.
