Complaint again bank making wrong entries of credit and debital without any intimation to the complainant?

On 18/09/2015 my son anirudh deposited a sum of rs. 20000/- cash in my saving account In the evening at 06-11 pm i got a message on my regd. Mobile no regarding debiting of rs. 200000/- from my account. When i checked earlier messages and was stunned to see that at 1.34 pm a sum of rs. 200000/- is shown to be credited in my account. No intimation was sent to me regarding any mistake by bank official. It means our accounts are not safe in this bank. Any bank official can make any transaction of deposit or withdrawl in anyone's account. In the circumstances explained above stern action must be taken against erring official.

Hi Sharma,

Though it was an inadvertent clerical mistake which was rectified after identification, still it is a serious mistake on part of the Bank. Since the amount is substantial, demand a letter in its letterhead with "TO WHOMSOEVER IT MAY CONCERN" explaining the transaction. You may require this letter in future if a query is raised by the Income Tax department. If the branch management does not respond positively, please follow the below steps :-

1.    Go to your Bank’s website and search for grievance redressal (or similar name) button and submit your complaint online.

2.    If you do not receive any reply / satisfactory reply within 10 days, lodge your complaint with the Nodal officer of the Bank (either through email or letter)

3.    If you do not receive any reply / satisfactory reply within 10 days from the Nodal officer, lodge your complaint with the Principal Nodal officer of the Bank (either through email or letter)

4.     If you are still not satisfied with the reply / do not receive reply from the Principal Nodal officer within 10 days, lodge your complaint with the Banking Ombudsman (either through letter or email)
